Project 1: Arduino - Blinking light-emitting diode (LED)
We will work on blinking a light-emitting diode (LED) by turning a light on and off.
Components
You will need the following components if you are new and you don't have you can order those components from us.

Follow the circuit diagram and connect the components on the breadboard as shown in the image given below.
If the LED has two leads with leads that are equal in length, you can look at the metal plate inside the LED. The smaller plate indicates the positive (anode) lead; the larger plate belongs to the negative (cathode) lead.
